It turns out that shiny new mandatory Xbox 360 update was something of a Trojan Horse that allows Microsoft to twist gamers’ arms and make them agree never to sue the company.After gamers download and install the update, they’re forced to agree to a newterms of service agreement before being able to sign in to Xbox Live. Oddly, the update doesn’t force you to scroll through the entire agreement before clicking on the “agree” button.

XBOX kicked me off at 8pm in the middle of my game, had to get on home Computer and log into XBOX live to be asked to read their Terms, which after reading shows Microsoft to be the business they are. Not responsible for anything and can take you off the air at a whim. Had to sign it if I want to continue playing, problem was it would not allow me to connect to Xbox live after that. Hope tonight its fixed, sounds like others were having the same issue. This downlaod is a joke so far, worst they have ever flowed to us. Very bad PR on their part.

Mine updated last night, I’m in SO.IL. I couldn’t log into Live last night but as of today everything works. You just have to download everything again..(like hulu for instance)

the ads will get smaller , it looks very sleek to me , very itunes netflix future looking i like it , yall will get used to it like the facebook changes lol , xbox had this 90s design now its 2012, ull be ok …as for the ads there now partnering with new streaming services so it will be there expect it to be smaller later on…BIG QUESTION…can u replace the bing search wit google search ..lmao

Toronto, ON, Canada. Got the update just a few minutes ago and I MUST say … it’s APPALLING! Absolutely disgusting. Why? 1) My HOME PAGE is filled with stupid advertisements 2) The advertisements themselves are 400% bigger than the actualy “play game” box and central to the home page. I could list so many more, too!

There are like 4 ADVERTISEMENTS ON MY HOME PAGE! This update is THE most horrible layout I’ve EVER seen! My eyes are bleeding.

I’m in Virginia and I got the update last night at 8:00PM EST. But, I got kicked out of game at 10:30 and disconnected so I could review and agree to the new Terms of Agreement. Same thing happened to the guys I was playing with. Then, we couldn’t connect to Xbox Live for at least 30 min before giving up and going to bed. Very annoying. Hope this isn’t a problem next time I play.

got it last night, happen when I went to get on netflix, downloaded fast, just sucks I have to redownload all apps, but was able to get right back on live and watch netflix shortly after (nearly forgot my login info though)

Also, after logging in and accepting the new terms of use I had 0 problems connecting to Netflix and Hulu… couldn’t get Epix to work but I don’t use that service anyway. Is there more information as to what will be free and what will be monthly paid services?

I got it 2hrs after my friends in the midwest( I live in the north east). After I DLed it I couldn’t log in until this morning. It looks just like an expanded Phone 7 interface. Let you know after a few days my opinion.

m in india. rodriguez advice worked. tried a couple of times. thanks. incase you have some problems finding his post heres how to do it :

on the home tab, there is a big black square which says “connect to xbox live” in orange letters. click on that, it will show an error saying “microsoft terms have changed blah blah..” click on view new terms and accept them. works fine then
