Comments on: Xbox 360 Dashboard update “slightly delayed”

I live in North Devon, England and have just received the new dashboard. I took approximately 10 minutes to do but once it starts up again you need to click on the Live Box on the front page of the dashboard so you can accept the new microsoft terms. Once you have done this you should find yourself signed into live.

theres been a slight delay on the new updatte coming out ….theres like 57.7 million of xboxs sold its not like they can give everyone the update at the same time the whole system would probably crash ..so i think they do random xbox serial numbers at a time like maybe 23,00 xbox users get the update first later another 23,00 ….idk just a guess but they did say there way a slight delay so calm down .you’ll get it

you have to re test all your connections ..and then sign in and then it should say like maybe cannot connect to xbox live test connections and it will give you that option and click on it and it should say they have new terms of agreement and then it will bring u into a sign in for ur windowslive i think and you sign in with your password and it will show the terms of agreement accept it. and it should download the update and then you will either have to sign back into your live if you have a passcode set up or click on it to log into live or it will do it automatically .if any of this doesnt work then i would call Microsoft or google it

I cant even update or go online at all it gives me the option to update and then it updates and stops saying error something a rather. Any one else have this problem. I live in NZ

Ok from my experience lets look at it this way take thousands of bundles of haye and push them all together… take a few small needles and pis and throw them into the heye and then go and find them.. same principal for games / code in general if theres bugs you have to take time to find the source and cure it.. it does take sometime in a full game but as this is just an update (but huge) im sure it will be up and updated on your consoles by the 7th of dec. :)

yea but lets be honest its about 2 gigs worth of data they had to write and code and took the best part of 7 months for a team to get together for E3. Im not supprised they have delayed it but we forget it will be hours not days or weeks… hours….. REALLY??? are we that impatient these days!

Again read my comment above… they let us all down its a free update and to be honest it has to be correct before the launch it im not supporting microsoft at all but from myself who works with data-writing and coding scripts for games etc i feel there pain! im sure they want it out the way also so they can focus on the next gen xbox… patience is a vertue ! ! !

You forget one thing Microsoft are the best tech heads in the world and push the boundaries of the console that is (lets face it) old tech. They have some issues with the code they are fixing it… They let us all down but we need to understand it has to be correct before it launches for example if it launched today and you couldnt use your voice commands or bing (as reported as the fault) i bet you would moan about that? i know i would! i would rather wait a handfull of hours and have a fully working and functional product myself :)

To be honest I was looking forward to the dashboard apparently some of the generic code in the kinect voice has got some bugs in it so they are altering the code and will be putting the updates to all consoles either late tonight or early tomorrow morning surely we can wait one more day!

Ps3 is not that bad. I own both consoles, my ps3 sits on top of my xbox while my xbox collects dust. 360 has some cool features but you can’t beat free with the ps3. I love how xbox gamers only argument is that the ps3 got hacked. It was one time and playstation gave everyone free games and free services to make up for it. What hasa xbox everwhile gave anyoneeveryone when theyI mess up. Stupid usedspell xboxs when itI red rings, mine haswe red ringed 3 times. It wasn’t even that big of a deal when ps3 was down.

If they released it and it was broke or worse broke something on mine i would be ticked to no end thats for sure.

Technically it has been released, people have been beta testing it for a month now, my brother(lucky jerk) and a gaming friend have enjoyed it and said it runs great, so i would think this issue isnt a new dashboard issue, but a server/bandwidth issue.

gotta say it’s wierd that it shows online (laptop) that LOVEFiLM is working on my account, but as of yet have had no update on xbox…. Guess they had to sort the link first?? BTW why the impatience? Do you not think that the money we pay in good faith is not being put back in to make sure sony are blown out of the market? As subscriptions go I’d say it it was pretty cheap, however the money I pay the beeb so I can see what I play is definately not on…….!!!!!!

All of you that are crying and complaining get a life other than your 360. The day isnt done yet. Your the type of people that complain about anything. I personally would much rather have a delayed update than a broken update, now if you thought like that well then Im sure you’d be complaining about something else like the sun isnt as bright as it was yesterday.
