can someone tell me what i should do, cause microsoft is repairing my 360 so they send a replacement and that fuckin 360 doesnt even download the update so, i call microsoft and they told to reset my connection and i did all they said and still the same thing happens it keeps on saying UPDATE FAIL im was getin sick of it so, i try again and still doesnt works so microsoft send me another and doesnt works i keep on thinkin they are sending me used 360- does any one know how to fix it or tell me how to fix it

I dont have live so i tried to download the update and put it on a usb but that didnt work so i burnt it to a cd and that didnt work so i tired a data dvd and still didnt work what can i do to get my xbox to update with out connecting to live?

UM DO NOT CALL SUPPORT FOR ANY PROBLEMS…my XBox for the past two weeks decided to “some features are currently unavailable” and so I was forced to only play MP or SP games. Too bad bc I also use it to watch Netflix which was one of the features “currently unavailable”. So after two and a half weeks I decided to call in and get support. BWAH…the first time I called in I eventually was instructed to go ahead and delete the update altogether. Now it turns out that I cant even connect to Live anymore.
I called back the next day and talked to them for two hours (again) and went through the same instructions even though they have my reference number and can see all I have done before. He tells me to go to a friends house and test it.
Then I called again later (same thing happens) but this time Im instructed to get a new hard drive as mine is most likely corrupted. So I go and get one and call them back that same evening. Same thing happens and I get upset and finally the call is over after being instructed to send it in for repairs.
UNFORTUNATELY my XBox is no longer under warranty so it will cost money to do. I dont like this option so I call back later again and ask to speak to a decision making superior. He says even though it was usable before I called them, and that they messed it up so now I cant even sign on to Live, that bc its not under warranty I have to pay full price to have it repaired. REALLY?!?!?!?!?!
I wish I never called XBox support. I could have still been playing online and just bypassed watching Netflix or ESPN.

umm… i put the update on a blank cd, but my xbox wont read it

yes i do dont feel bad the only i get on xbox live is on my ipod and thanks to the new updat i cant download it are get on xbox live anymore…

It took about 6 or 7 tries for me to get the update to work, including one reboot), so if it doesn’t work straight away for you, then don’t fret about it too much. It’s possible it’s because everyone’s downloading it right now.

I use my xbox to watch all my media, and the cocksuckers already limited us to only being able to watch something while connected to xbox live. So now that the update wont work, i have a paper weight until it finally kicks through. I keep hating xbox more and more…

I thought this update was so you could use Kinect but this is probably the most pointless update ever!! i mean it looks awesome but it was kind of pointless.

If you still need help connecting to xbox live just download the update from their website here http://support.xbox.com/en-us/pages/xbox-360/how-to/update-xbox-360/system-updates.aspx#copy and you can just put it on a usb or a blank CD.

this new ”dashboard” is plain and boring, black and white i though Microsoft would want to advance on there products making them better, i already know of three friends that are switching to ps3 at Christmas.

its to dull and boring and we sound like idiots,
the lagging when we switch to party is bad our screens freezing,
the sound it makes is silly, child’s choice?
randomly kicks us from party causing interruptions,
DISCONNECTED FROM XBOX LIVE JUST NOW! :@

fair enough they have improved the the ESPN, keep this and carry on making the xbox community better but change the dashboard, make it existing and interesting, not a granny production.

Yeah, it’s saying that i should test my xbox live connection and when i do it passes the test easy but it still wont download.

It does feel like less advanced dash from the prior one. The switch to the white icons to replace the old silver ones really don’t help.
