He is a tech geek in the truest sense of the word. Unlike 99.9999999% of people, he will buy a lot more than just one phone, not because he needs more lines, but because he wants to play with the tech.

Way to bury the lead! Woz loves the iPhone 5! Oh, and, ummm, shhhh, he thinks Appls is an asshole for the Samsung trial but we’ll put that after the break.

Show a picture taken on an iPhone on a gsIii. To average people, the over saturated look of amoled looks better. It’s not realistic, you’d never calibrate a designers/photographers monitor at those settings.. But to the average person, unrealisticly vibrant looks “better.” it’s like taste test for children and apple sauce. Children prefer the one loaded with corn syrup vs. the one naturally sweet.

You’ll notice samsung ships all their tvs (my last 3 tvs all sammy) on “dynamic” setting.. Over-bright, over saturated.

I agree that photo quality should be excellent, but are we asking phones to do something that they can’t? On my soon-to-be shitcanned android, I can’t take pictures because the lens is recessed into the body and I cannot clean it, and if I put on a ballistic case the indentation makes the lens even harder to get to. Every picture looks as if It was taken through a fog. The other problem is that when you wipe the lens off with whatever you have available you run the risk of permanently ruining the lens. Photography of the excellent kind should be done with a good camera, not with a phone.

I presume that’s the part you’re talking about? Did I say at any point in there that the iPhone 5 is the best phone around? I thought I made it pretty clear that I was talking about the iPhone 5 in relation to past iPhones, not all smartphones in general. Trust me, Apple doesn’t need me to come to its defense, especially since I’m an Android and Windows user.

Samsung would be receptive and have proved in the past that that’s the way they would like it to be. There is only one company that throws a spanner in the works every single bloody time, and that’s that shit of a company, Apple. I know slashgear would love to have Apple’s baby, but get your facts right and don’t try include other companies when you have to write that Apple is the problem. The problem is Apple. End of story

There some something I saw not long ago and showed what Woz carried around.. it was basically the who’s who of tablets/phones. I’m not sure how much he uses each one of them.. or what the point is, but at least he can do critical thinking and isn’t stuck on one brand.

I really like him. I’m not sure why he isn’t in control of apple now but he would of been a great addition in my opinion. Tim cook is OK but this iPhone event just proved that he has non idea what he is doing anymore.Apple has never been this loose

Woz hit the nail on the head. Let innovation stand in how we use these patents in new and different ways or improve the overall quality. Have you ever compared the internals of a samsung device and an Apple device…. Apple’s workmanship is the supreme leader. Lets focus on making better products, we all loose when innovation is stymied and even start ups run away in fear. As consumers and passionate technology lovers we have all lost out in this mess. Lets open licensing, and pool those patents. How soon will everything be so similar that all innovation descends into a rediculous legal battle. Stop It All Of You! Shame Shame!
