When I was in high school I was all but obsessed with a game. Strangely enough, it didn’t require a PC or even a console to play, as it used cards. If you’re familiar with Magic: The Gathering, then you likely know that I’m talking about. I still have my collection of several thousand cards, and will play on occasion if I find a willing challenger. According to Wizards of the Coast (the makers of M:tG) there will be two new ways to play the game online.

Magic: The Gathering

Magic: The Gathering Online has been out for quite a while, and while I love the card game, I’ve never gotten into the PC game. First, I can’t use any of the cards I physically own, and more importantly it lacks the atmosphere that made the game so enjoyable. I loved hanging out with my friends and designing new decks to torment them with, online it’s just faceless people and mouse clicks.

The two new titles will be coming to the PC, Mac and Xbox Live Arcade sometime in the future. WotC hasn’t released many details other than Stainless Games and Mind Control Software on the two titles.

Oh man i still have my Magic: the Addiction cards in my garage, but that whole you can play with the cards you own thing is what pissed me off too.

Also not being able to buy or use cards from any seris.

Its like if your not involed from the start of the game to now or if you quit, you might as well not get in it at all.

Too bad were i use to live they played that, where i do now not so much.
