We’ve covered wireless USB hubs before, but this new one from Gefen may be released soon.

Wireless USB hub

Gefen just received the OK from the FCC to begin producing their new 4-port wireless USB hub. Details are sparse, but we know that the hub can be placed up to 60ft away from the dongle connected to your PC.

I’m still not sold on the whole idea, unless you’re setting the hub that far away from your PC, you’re really only eliminating one cable. This device also comes with some downsides, transfer speeds are reported to be very slow, so you won’t want to hook your external hard drive up to it. Also, drivers are currently limited to Windows XP SP 2.
