You can actually make any OS run on other OS regardless of your devices! Even IOS can run android as well as windows 8 and vice versa!

What you need is knowledge, skills, determination and perseverance!..

Not that *THAT* matters much. As long as cell companies require data plans to use a “smartphone” on their service, I will never use a smartphone. A standard “feature phone” will be all I need to do the things I want a cell phone for: making and receiving PHONE CALLS. It needs to do nothing else.

Well considering that 99% of people don’t have touch screen computers running windows 7 or vista it doesn’t make android running on them very attractive. Its way more attractive to people with touchscreen Windows 8 computers, which will allow them to have the benefits and enjoyment of both windows 8 and android.

It is illegal to unlock your phone and change providers. This is a completely different process from rooting your phone. It is not illegal to root your phone and install a different Rom.

I guess if you have time you can do anything you set your mind to. I have no idea why you would want to run android on windows. why not just run android and replace windows? For that matter I don’t need apps for android on my desktop, that’s what android is for, mobile platform, not static. I applaud their efforts, just dont follow the need or desire::::Scratches head::::::

Well this is good news for Android users in the US as it is now illegal to Root or ROM your Android device to unlock it if it is subsidized on a Cellular carrier…iPhones are still legal but not iPads…Cydia here I come :-)

wow this means that convergence between desktop apps and tablet apps will occur first on the Windows platform. Great news for the Windows desktop user, and another sign that Android apps are overtaking iPhone apps in the race to supremacy. Also an impressive piece of technology, if it is truly more than demo-ware.

So, the headline says Windows 8 yet the software also runs on windows 7 and vista…

Why not have the headline simply say “WindowsAndroid run android without emulation on windows”?
Or is this part of the hype to try to make Windows 8 look better…?

I’m surprised it’s taken this long. Get the same apps you use on your mobile device, probably with data sync. It’s a natural. And since every mobile OS has emulators that run on computers for developers already, it shouldn’t be difficult to do. So why’d it take so long?

Of course Microsoft built emulation for their new mobile OS into Windows 8, but they pretend it’s the operating system itself so I don’t know that we can count it.

that what we all need ,if its worked fine then its a billion dollar business market ahead . running natively window 8 desktop or window 8 mobile them running android window on the top of this then a 5 too 6 inch 1080 p screen and slider keyboard and old blackberry style courser roller mouse and a aluminum and steel body and some 5000 to 600 mA battery even mobile weight twice what we use to carry i am sure thats kind of market will sell millions of mobile phone in a day even costing $700-$800 make sure camera should be 8 and at least 2 mega pixel and externally accessible SIM and micro SD card .

this can be a Microsoft success key of coming back to business and to break the apple and Samsung monopoly .
