Windows Strata new name for Microsoft Cloud OS?

Could Microsoft's upcoming cloud OS be called Windows Strata?  That's the rumor circulating after sessions at the Professional Developers Conference, held at the end of October, focused on "Windows Strata" showed up on the PDC website

While strata is defined as rock made up of several layers, it could refer to "stratosphere", a layer in the atmosphere, or "stratus", a type of low-level cloud.  Either could refer to Microsoft's plan of "software plus services".

The upcoming cloud OS was first officially tipped by Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, who revealed that the company is planning online functionality linked to their existing software package at an event at the beginning of October.  The proper announcement is apparently scheduled for around the beginning of November.
