@Jimbo - You can take a pic and make it your wallpaper on your lock screen. Why would you want wallpaper behind the tiles on the home screen? That makes absolutely no sense - you wouldn't see it anyway - your pic should be on the lock screen. As far as sync goes, you can sync music and podcasts over wifi. Yes, it does require Zune to kick things off and for full updates, but not for standard syncing. The iPhone requires iTunes so what's the difference? Custom ring tones are coming with the next update (I guess some poeple actually worry about stuff like that). I don't get caught up in small details like that - I worry more about file integration, an excellent music and video hub, an excellent pictures hub, and a gorgeous UI - all of which WP7 has in spades. Not to mention great games with Xbox Live. I got my Focus updated this week and now the thing really smokes - couldn't be happier. I look forward to full SkyDrive access in the next update - there is some now but its a bit limited besides One Note.

I would love seamless Outlook integration - a big plus point (Possibly).
I also want to drag and drop files without interference. But aparently WP7 wont let me - BIG negative.

Microsoft and Apple are both control freaks. If Microsoft+Nokia learns that lesson = Interested.

I will admit I have never handled a WP7 in person. Maybe I will go to a store some time and check one out. Although even if I was to decide I like it, I will still probably stick with the Droid. The reason being that WP7 just doesn't have the developer support that the Droid does yet.

@Jimbo While those features are missing now, I am sure they will be added later. The problem is WP7 was rushed out the gate just like iOS was when it first came out. Hell you couldn't even forward a text message with iOS when it first came out. Also iOS still requires iTunes to sync, which is a steaming pile of bloated ****. I have already ventured down the iOS road and I won't be going back. Especially after the whole antenna issue with the iPhone 4. It wouldn't bother me so much if Jobs would have just done like a normal company would do and shut the hell up. No instead he chooses to make smart ass comments about how your holding it wrong? This is only one of a very long list of reasons though. /end rant Also yes I do realize you never once mentioned iOS and only the first part was really directed at you lol. =p

The only complaint I have about the Droids are I wish Google would quit letting the phone companies meddle with their awesome OS. They usually end up making it worse. I don't understand why they bother dedicating resources to change a good thing. Motoblur is a perfect example of why phone companies should not mess with the interface.

sircolby, as a Focus owner I can tell you one thing - WP7 is the best UI going right now. The phone looks great and is lightening fast out of the box, but when all of YOUR stuff is on it that's when you realize how functional and gorgeous the interface really is. Every WP7 is the same yet different. It's like the home screen is a fingerprint of sorts. I love it and I love how personalized you can make it. The live tiles are great and more developers will be taking advantage of them moving forward. Give it another chance - I've had a few friends switch after trying my phone for a bit because it's a lot of fun to use.

Lol I can tell you one thing I am the farthest thing from an "iSheep." I am a fan of the Droids. I would take WP7 over the iPOS. I don't need some arrogant prick telling me what software I can and can't use on MY phone.

I guess I have really bad taste because yes I think it is bland and boring. It is a bunch of squares. Woopdee freaking doo.

Also what is this traction you speak of? I have failed to see any.

The interface is the problem?
If anything it's the distinctive style of the UI that's giving them any sort of traction. It may not be your cup of tea, but it certainly isn't bland nor boring.
Can it be improved? Sure, it's a baby. Still, there isn't anything out there that's more eye catching or fresh.
If you think otherwise you're straight up hating, OR you have really, really, REALLY, bad taste.
Every isheep I've shown it to thinks it's slick.

What is hurting Windows Phone 7 the most is their interface. Sorry, but to me it is just bland and boring. Microsoft is baking on that being the new style, but I don't think that is going to catch on.
