Yeah, I have met some people that are very hesitant to switch to Wp7 based on current hardware available (most of my friends have verizon - which limits you to one 1 year + old phone).

WP8 needs competitive hardware, next-gen features (like kinect enabled gestures), comparable app experience, a great marketing campaign, and a fluid experience between Win8,WP8, and xbox that is unavailable with iOS and Android.

Really, they need to do something dickish like limit xbox smartglass features in iOS and Android.

While I personally think WP7 is on par with iOS and much better experience than Android (I own a Galaxus Nexus and an HTC Trophy - I prefer the 4g and screen size of my nexus and everything else is better on the Trophy) , it is going to have to be a whole lot better to gain any traction. Not just a little better, a crap ton better. Who knows if that is even possible.

Calm down. I am not an Apple user whatsoever. What I am saying is that Windows Phone is not going to make a significant dent in the mobile OS market because it was too late and most people have adopted Android or iOS by now. I am not opposed to it being good - I just think it's going to be like the Zune all over again (a device which I love). You have absolutely no idea who I am, so don't assume that I don't know anything about technology or that I love Apple products.

If I have to hear this once more I swear I will throw up. What is it with this idiotic too late 'argument'? Too late like 'have had a smartphone OS out years before either samsung or apple? Or too late with an update? Yes, that is true - but how does that matter? Hell no it does not, because NOW (i.e. when you and I live) they do have one heck of a great product out there and once w8 launches they will have a UI even you will understand on all their devices. I do not want to do you injustice, but I'd bet you are one of those guys who applaud apple for iCloud when everyone on wp7 had 25 gigs of skydrive for YEARS (and I do mean literal years). What is wrong with you people? Are you scared an ms OS might actually be better than your beloved current one? Heck, why not embrace when someone brings something new to the market - and it does not matter at all at what time. late... related to what?? Who cares???
