no Skype yet (!!), not one single SIP-client, no talking Tom, WeatherPro has less functionality

many developers are not even considering to port to WP.

WP is good, but still has ways to go

when W8 is established WP will gain some more interest

It’s good to see Windows Phone doing well. I wouldn’t give up my iPhone for it, but Microsoft seems to be doing stuff right with it, and maybe it’ll give Apple a bit of competition (I hate Android by the way, I just think it’s more about the idealism of being Open Source than actually creating something smooth, which WP7 and iOS seem to be).

there is only 2 “apps” i am interested in…. bing search and bing maps. both are way way way sub-par compared to google search and google maps, in particular for australian consumers

Not much to see here. Just Nokia Symbian devs moving their old programs to support WP7. Hence the comment about “location specific.” It always has been a problem for Nokia.

HP seems to have gotten screwed by the old CEO unfortunately, who was very inappropriately trying to make HP another SAP. It almost as bad as if the ceo of nestle was hired to run Apple and he decided to change it into a candy company. Not quite, but it was close. It will be interesting to see where it goes from here. WebOS is pretty cool, but it is hard to imagine it recovering from this, let alone someday challenging Android, but who knows?

The is not were windows phone 7 stands NOW, but where it could be should it continue to increase.
Personally I would commend Microsoft on at least trying to improve and from the looks of it, they are, unlike HP (they just gave up)

and all in all, I think that WP7 has a lot of potential, with a software giant (Microsoft) and hardware giant (Nokia) but only time will tell
