All the fighting below is irrelevant. The fact is, Windows is and always has been a ripped off product. They licensed the original OS from Apple, and then continued to use it when the license ran out, ILLEGALLY. Companies lacking moral scruples might do better to not draw attention to their dirty deeds, while simultaneously floundering in the market that their so smugly tweeting about. I mean, seriously, how pathetic can you look?

LOL! Apple product are easier to use and work better. They always have been and until the iPod and iPhone they never sold better than their competitor. As someone who has followed this for 30 years,it's hilarious to see the difference in attitude towards Apple now that they are actually a market leader. For 25 of those years they have been outsold by companies ripping off their ideas and not even doing a good job of it. Now people are actually buying the product that works better and people like you say they are just buying Apple because it is "cool". Well, actually I think you may be right. Fortunately for them the best product is finally the one that is "cool"

Most people buy what is popular, design, quality and functionality do not factor into that.

The fact is, Apple sells well because they market "cool" and everyone who buys apple products think they become cool through the ownership and usage of a device.

It is really sad actually, that so many people follow.

Apple was superior 2 years ago. Android is now a better OS and these updates don't fully bridge the gap. The hardware is also better. Trying to argue with apple fans is like talking to a brick wall. Most are set in their ways and say 'it's just better' ignoring any facts. I will go back to apple or change to windows if that offers the best package. Also, apple suing companies for 'slavish copying' seems a little hypocritical at least now.

Nah... not exactly. I used Microsoft mobile devices from the first HP WindowsCE (monochrome) clamshell pocket computer all the way through WM 6.5. Generally, I went with unlocked devices purchased online, with occasional offerings from T-Mobile. Usually, a new one every 6 months or so.

Eventually, I got tired of waiting for Microsoft to catch up with the mobility market and tried the first Android device (G1). Found out Android had some quirks at the time and made the plunge to iOS with my iPhone 3GS. For the first time I didn't have much interest in what I'd be getting next. No tweaking required, worked perfectly out-of-the-box. Found it to be a device I could just use with no concern of lock-ups, slow-downs or spontaneous reboots.

Regardless, it's about what your personal preference is when it comes to a mobile device, not petty-tweets ;)
