... for the general public, yes. But for the rest of us, it may be fun to early adopt. That's what we do, right?

Your list, though, really puts into words the reasons I can't see dropping 5 big bills for something that really can't replace my current mobile computing monolith. I'll see what XDA is up to, and if they can shoehorn it into an HD2, I'll grab one of those.

Seriously. Only a few of his comments may have been nitpicks. Alot of that stuff is probably going to be added by demand. It won't be direct demand. It will be people screaming for apps that match the functionality of other platforms. Sure its easy to say so what an app cant tell which way is north. That's fine until you realize that apps may not be able to have integrated maps and augmented reality is completely out the window. You'll have to turn the map yourself on any turn by turn navigation. Dont be like the iFools and swear you don't need features until Jobs blesses them and then act like they are the second coming. Just admit that WP7 is very crippled in areas and will definitely need to get better to compete.

I'll live with SmartSense until early 2011, thrashes C+P on easy tasks
BT is slow as hell and is incompetent in file transfer
YouTube app is all I need, and all that most consumers need
I would like some selective background multitasking / fixed tombstoning
Annoying the entire train with your song choices... is annoying
Damn, I'm REALLY upset the launch applications won't be able to tell me where north is
Consumer focused wave of WP7
Does Office better than anything else I've found
Funny then, because it's superior to Android's browser
That's a hardware choice, and minor function. iPhone 4 to iPhone 4 on WiFi? AMAZING
Only half-assed mobile platforms need a file system, flash drive functionality is nice though
Deal breaker for some, I don't Skype on my handsets
Carriers could overcharge, wouldn't mind it
What are you smoking?
Won't have a huge userbase at launch so idrc
Hilarious. Bing's better optimised for WP7
Hilarious again, you in love with Google or something?
IE does a fine job, Silverlight & XNA are fine environments.
How many people need this?
Restricted environments have + and -
I only ever see BT as a cheap tech for simple wireless comm - mice, headsets
You want apps to be able to access other processes? Good security there
Proper network functions? Doubt it
All launch devices can capture 720p video
That's a DEALBREAKER, I'm sure. We all want to use Comic Sans don't we.
CDMA almost always launches later. Android & iOS launched without CDMA.
THIS is a disadvantage, an app switcher is needed
Equalisers always kill the quality in my experience
I can't imagine creating a proper PPT on a 4" screen, would be hell
Okay, because the OS doesn't have an address book & calendar by default? ...
Is this offered at no charge by all competing platforms?
Wouldn't mind universal search, I would open the app that supports the file I'm looking for
Should be an option. I'd personally keep work & personal separate
Something to do with security, would be decent
I thought most people just retweet stuff, never used it though
It's hard to make a functional app operate on a 480px high orientation

Wow. Numerous Positive reviews for Windows Phone 7 and only @Werris was good enough to take notice of the list he painstakingly compiled. How pity. I think Windows Phone 7 will definitely succeed and fanboys will be greatly disappointed. The huge expectations about Windows Phone 7 will certainly deliver the goods.

Microsoft FTW!!!

The big problem with Windows Phone 7 is that it was rushed to market to make it in time for the Christmas sales.

This resulted in missing features, such as the following:

-Copy & Paste not working
-Bluetooth file exchange not working
-No HTML5, No Flash, No video in the browser
-No 3rd party app multitasking
-No Custom Ringtones
-3rd party apps can't use the compass or video camera
-Doesn't recognise the full Exchange server policies (just a subset)
-Does not recognize Microsoft Office security permissions
-No alternate browsers (You're stuck with Internet Explorer 7)
-No videocalling
-No accessible file system
-No 3rd party VoIP apps (eg No Skype, No Fring)
-No tethering to a laptop
-No USB syncing
-No realtime multi-player games
-Bing Button can't be changed to Google
-No Google Maps
-No native code for app developers (why Mozilla and Firefox are not on WP7
-No inbuilt database
-No sideloading of apps
-No Bluetooth API
-No inter-process communication (IPC)
-No Sockets (necessary for proper network functions)
-No video capture support
-No outside Truetype fonts (just the ones it came with)
-No CDMA
-No app switcher
-No sound equaliser in Windows Media Player
-Can't create PowerPoint document
-PIM (address book/appointments) can't be accessed by apps
-No turn-by-turn navigation
-No universal search
-No unified email inbox
-No drag-n-drop transfer of files
-No ability to upload photos to Twitter
-Apps often don't switch to landscape mode

I think it would be better to wait until these issues are fixed, rather than to jump in early with a half-finished phone.
