When can I get ringtones? How in the world does a phone in 2010 not support features like this? Copy/paste is very important, and I want most free useful apps…perhaps HopStop! I like the phone but I can’t do anything but text call and some other random stuff. So how do I send video messages?

I understood from the WP podcast that full SkyDrive/Office integration was present in the NoDo update.

That’s a considerable “missing feature”

Although I’m interested in how anyone would see multitasking being a benefit with this platform, as I have yet to need it. Tombstoning works just fine.

Multitasking and HTML5 browser before Black Friday is the plan. We’ll see if it happens, but it is definitely the plan. MS didn’t spend a billion on Nokia for nothing. Nokia is waiting on the first major update to put out their first Windows Phone. Nokia is also bringing turn by turn navigation to the OS.

Microsoft will probably have more announcements at MIX11 next month. Joe Belfiore (WP7 guy) is doing the keynote on April 12th.

Don’t forget it also adds CDMA support. I would not call the combined forces of Sprint+Verizon to be minor. that being said, adding CDMA support may not be considered an “update” as it doesn’t add functionality to ATT/TMo users… but still…

Microsoft should be ashamed.

My impression is that Microsoft’s PR department is leaking shots of the ‘NoDo’ update (do nothing update), to attract media interest.

The fact is, it’s a minor update which restores one crucial piece of OS functionality (copy & paste), which every other mobile OS already has. It does not bring full multitasking, nor address the long list of other missing features in Windows Phone 7.

Users must wait until 2012 before the other missing features are partly addressed. Microsoft’s update process has been as slow as a snail. Microsoft has proven it cannot update it fast enough to be competitive.

I have heard that other smartphones OS’s have had problems with issueing out updates for their phones I believe the NODO update will come out in April because Microsoft and Samsung have to get together and work out the Samsung WP7 phones problems. I very strongly urge Microsoft put out the 3rd party multitasking and the flash player updates on the Windows phone 7 before Black friday. a lot of People want 3rd party multitasking on this Smartphone NOW not later and a lot of People want to see flash content on the windows Phone 7 NOW because they donot want a restricted viewing of the internet like the Iphone does in it’s native form
