Yeah...Samsung Fascinate has been modified by Verizon to run Bing! And Bing sucks...that is the biggest problem with Microsoft Phones. Google will always be the best...no doubt. Why would people want to buy Windows 7 Phones, where there are so many good Android phones on all carriers...

There is a lot of things wrong with what you said. The consumer won't have to wait until Windows Phone 8 to have copy and paste. What you are doing is looking at how Apple updates their phone, and basing that on how you expect Microsoft to do their update also. But it has been said before that they will update their phone to add those features. Microsoft already said that it will be up to the carrier to allow tethering or not, once they have updated the phone. Also, why would Microsoft allow another search engine on their platform? Does Android allow Bing, and Yahoo? The bing search engine is a part of the phone itself, the search results comes in the phone format, and you can't do that with Google or Yahoo.

It's looks like its all happening with Microsoft's Windows Phone 7.

Trouble is, it will be a long wait until there is a usable smartphone system. A lot of features are missing from Windows Phone 7. When its successor, Windows Phone 8 arrives, Microsoft will no doubt have fixed a lot of those missing features.

In the meantime, users of Windows Phone 7 will have to put up with no copy-paste, no tethering, 3rd party apps unable to multitask, 3rd party apps unable to access the phone's compass or video camera.

Microsoft's walled garden has resulted in a lock-in for Microsoft services. Internet Explorer will be the only browser. Bing will be the only search engine allowed on the search button on the front of the phone.
