Updated UK HTC HD7 on O2. Got notifcation but then had to Update Zune first. Then the phone went through an intermediate update (the 7.0 thing below I guess) before going Mango on a second update to take to OS version 7.10.7720.68.

Really odd that Microsoft are branding it as WM 7.5 but have OS version at 7.10!

That said agree with all the positive feedback ... and really great to get thins like Exchange Server search back in the email client!

I upgraded a few hours ago and I have to say that the nuances of Mango really drive home Microsoft's vision of 'outside the app' and 'glance and go.' Even on a previous generation device like the Samsung focus this puppy flys, and may even be a tiny bit faster than before (which is saying something). Highlights for me are:
1. Multitasking is beautifully executed, second only to webOS
2. Opening up the APIs to developers. We now have Whatsapp, and apps like foursquare and evernote already provided upgraded livetile functionality.
3. The peoples hub, now with twitter support and the ability to create groups, is awesome.
4. Contacts that you pin to the start screen now show notifications, not just status updates
5. The ME tile now shows notifications across Facebook and twitter
6. Finally voice dictation on text messages!

I haven't had a chance to try our turn-by-turn navigation, but will over the next few days.

Overall, after 5 hours of use definitely a contender, and though apps are lacking, my favorite OS of the big three.

I am really excited to see Nokia hardware paired with this OS.

Just went mango on an LG Quantum. Amazing... The update "fixed" the phone 100%. It used to crash and freeze up constantly (mostly in the market place ), that doesn't happen at all anymore.
It fluid, fast, and just better in every way possible.
Excellent update from MS. I will most likely grab an Nokia WP7 when they hit, but I'm now happy with my device ( a year later =p ).
IE9 is really fast, Market place speed is now incredible. I can't even think of it as the same phone. its that good.
Updated using Windows Phone 7 Connector on a mac instal went thru flawlessly and quickly.
oh, and the long press back arrow task manager is awesome. love it.

Simple fix.
1. Plug phone in.
2. check for update. No update available? Hit OK.
3. check for update again...but IMMEDIATELY (yes immediately) pull your CAT 5 cable or wireless connection. WAIT til your phone says there is an update.
4. Plug internet connection back in and hit UPDATE.
5. Repeat if you are too slow.

I did this trick and got my update at 1pm CST.
