Windows Marketplace tips up a day early

Tomorrow is the official launch of Windows Mobile 6.5 but over the weekend AT&T users could have grabbed the Pure with WinMo 6.5 installed. If you were one of the folks who grabbed the Pure up, you can now jump on the Windows Marketplace.Engadget reports that the Marketplace is now live on Windows Mobile 6.5 devices a day before it is set for its official launch. If you are using the Pure handset, let us know how the marketplace works and how many apps are available.

The Windows Marketplace is Microsoft's attempt to battle the Apple App Store. Love or hate Microsoft, it is the company with the best chance of giving the App Store a run for its money. Apple's App Store recently passed the 2 billion download mark so Microsoft has lots of catching up to do.
