Gearbox, Ubisoft, Vigil/THQ, and a few others have already confirmed that the Wii U is more capable than the PS360, and questioning a developer like this is a two way streak much to the same that an exec from MSony should not be taken serious when they address the Wii U let alone their first/second party developers.

Anyone that is not blinded by fanboy hate should realize that a system coming out now can easily out muscle the ancient tech inside the PS360, and to question this only echos the hopes and dreams of MSony fans that their systems will remain on top despite being so old with no successor in sight because their company of choice lost so much money on a gamble that they are still trying to make back.

If you watched those same demos with unbiased eyes, you would have seen a steady 720p at 30-60fps on a split screen which the PS360 chug at 540p while most split screens have to be down scaled with large frame drops, and the U was pulling that off while also transmitting data to the game pad. If you were so unbiased then perhaps you would have known that very few games on the PS360 actually maintain a decent resolution especially in multi-player which is why MSony had to take measures for upscaling games which MS used a chip while both used software to handle the scaling of the games.

If you were not so biased then you probably would have noted that the games being shown off made by Nintendo had a designed look for 720p, and whether the screen was split into 2 or cut up into 5 pieces, the game was steady with no resolution or frame drop with almost no noticeable latency issues between the game pad and the tv; the game pad actually seems to be getting the info slightly faster than the tv in some cases.

If you were not such a biased person throwing a tantrum at the idea of your preferred system being over shadowed by the oncoming next gens then perhaps you would have known that a generation is not defined by the specs or power, so questioning whether it is next gen or not is where you tipped your hat at being blind to anything Nintendo showed.

To say wii u is more powerful than ps3 and 360 is like saying wii is
more powerful than ps2 and gamecube. That didn't really mean anything
when you campared wii to ps3 or 360 just like when we're going to
compare U to the next PS and XBOX.

The fact is, Nintendo hasn't released the true specs, a price or a real
release date. Wether they meant to or not, Nintendo has put themselves
in a situation where people are doubting their ability to deliver a real
next gen console. Sorry, but a touchpad controller isn't enough to
categorize a system as next gen.

If you attended E3 and (with an open, unbiased mind) compared U games at
the show (real demos or video) to games like watchdogs, the last of us
or Halo 4(just to name a few), it was clear that Nintendo was still a
generation behind. That and the fact that a good number of the high
profile 3rd party titles are cross platform games(some as old as a
year), really made people question if Nintendo would ever get back to
the glory days of the famicom and super famicom.

Ever since the E3 announcements and my hands on experience with the U at
the show, I was guessing the system would probably cost $400 usd.

If it retails at that price, would you buy one at launch? If not, what
price would it take for you to take the plunge? I'm curious.

Oh by the way, 5th cell has never developed a game for PS3 or the 360.
How does a company who makes games for mobile devices, a handheld and
the wii know if the U is more powerful than the current gen consoles?
Maybe a company who has developed games for the PS3, 360 and the U (e.g.
Namco, Ubisoft, Bioware, Team Ninja or Rocksteady Sudios) can give us better insight in regard to hardware power.

5th cell shouldn't worry about things like this and just concentrate on
what they do best(making another sequel to scribblenauts).

I was really hoping to see some specs. You're right though, the hardware is secondary to the actual gameplay. But it would still be nice if Nintendo made a console that could run current multi-platform games as well as, or better than, the PS3 and XBox 360. Ideally it would be powerful enough to compete with Sony's and Microsoft's next generation of consoles as well.
