If you’ve been worried about downloading games onto your Wii due to the limited amount of storage space, you may be in luck.

According to rumors that have been floating around, Nintendo may announce a hard drive for the Wii at this year’s E3. This will be a welcome addition for anyone that likes to download the classic games.

This is all still speculation, we won’t know until the official announcement by Nintendo at E3.

    We do not need a Nintendo-branded hard disk, we just need a firmware update so we can use our own storage, be it usb mass storage (for example memory stick or hard disk) or UPnP over the network.

    Agreed. It would be much better for the consumers if we could just use any USB storage. I’m sure that if Nintendo were to release their own branded USB hard drive, any others would work as well. If not, someone would find a way to make others work.
