Yesterday marked the official launch of Wii Fit Plus. The original Wii Fit sat at the top of many game charts for a long time and the systems were very hard to find in stores. Wii Fit Plus is likely to be one of the most popular Wii titles for the holiday season.
Nintendo is offering Wii Fit Plus in two formats; one comes with the balance board and software while the other comes with the software only for users who purchased the original Wii Fit with the board. Plus offers 20 new activities including skateboarding and a Segway course. Users can choose workout duration from 5 minutes to up to an hour.
The Wii Fit Plus and Balance Board combo sell for $99.99 and the software only has an MSRP of $19.99. The new Fit Plus can also incorporate data from the original software stored on your Wii. Nintendo reports that the original Wii Fit sold nearly 8 million copies since it launched in May 2008.
