Also, the quote above: “Its about the camaraderie they just won’t find elsewhere…”   What a crock of crap that is.   I served in the U.S. Navy and THAT is true camaraderie.   If you consider standing in a some line to buy a flimsy piece of computer hardware that will be outdated in less than a year to be camaraderie then you really need to take a look at your priorities.    And when you add the fact it is an over price Apple gadget, well that makes it even more foolish.

Using words like “cult-like” and “isheep” are little more than hyperbolic terms that serve only to dehumanize people. I dont ordinarily wait in these types of either, but I have before and I definitely dont regret the experiences.

A few black fridays back a few of my buddies had plans to go wait outside a best buy several hours before the store opened and I decided to go along for the lawls; afterall I had no other plans that night. Anyway the experience turned out to be pretty interesting to say the least, and I ended up meeting one of the best friends Ive ever had that night. I also reconnected with another friend that I hadn’t seen since 3rd grade during last years black friday, so i definitely see value in these types of things.

It all comes down to, people think these things are fun so let them go wait in line, why judge them as robotic shills because of it? I bet you anything that if most of you decided to go talk to a few folks standing in one of these Apple lines youd get some interesting convos back while meeting some pretty decent people

How can you claim persecution? The entire tech industry bows down to Apple. 3rd party developers have no problem developing for iOS.  3rd party manufacturers have no problem making Apple devices work with just about every single accessory out there.  Tech sites constantly rate Apple’s stuff best in class. Excuse me if I don’t cry for you. Sorry if I have a hard time crying for the most sought after tech userbase in the entire world.
