I personally don’t like apple, but thier products are great. The white iPhone 4′s late release was probably apple’s marketing strategy in order to gain more sales with the black one.
Apples a4 processor comes from samsung and the screen technology is about the same… First on hand expieriences.

Thanks :) iOS 4.3.1 is on both the black and the white versions; I’m assuming you’ll be prompted to upgrade as soon as you plug into iTunes the first time.
