Google needs to stop making money off those Android fans…. as most people buys this phone because of its ice cream sandwich OS… and of course Google knows that n that’s why it’s taking advantage of the other makers retarded updates…. this phone wouldn’t be 900+ dlls if there be many more ICS phones … I been a nexus line lover but this was it… buying this instead of a galaxy SII will be the best choice or wait for the ICS Acer phone..

I bought one from dailysteals as well, I think you have to email them as they have suspended their phone and email service to “better assist” us. I think their email is sales@dailysteals.com Im gonna keep mine and just save stuff on the google cloud, the 32gb version will likely be like $200 more

Um…… What? O.K i’m going to change from saying your comment was dumb( i never called you dumb) to your comment is just flat out wrong and your reply, especially the last part, really quite confusing. First you say Samsung is ‘aping’ Apple by making a white phone and now you change it to ‘marketing practices’? I’m sorry if your offended but i must say it again, this copycat thing that people complain about is just childish and dumb! Unlike you i am not a huge fan of any company, i buy based on my wants and needs not foolish brand loyalty but i do feel that Samsung is getting a raw deal. There is a reason why you don’t have a round stove in your kitchen or a circular tv in your livingroom and it’s not because manufacturers love to copy, it’s because theres a practical design for things. I’m all for being original..so long as it works and from a companys perspective..so long as it sells. Apple has gone after Samsung because they are the biggest competitor not because they copy more than any other company. Asus and HP(before it died) make/made tablets that look as much or more like the ipad than Samsungs offering and no one makes a phone that looks anything like the iphone. The only legit complaints against Samsung has to do with some touchwiz ui enhancements, the other 90% of Apples so called patents are being thrown out of court(as they should be) the world over. All companys follow the market leader and when it comes to copying Apple has it’s own rich history.
P.S
The Galaxy Nexus is a Google phone and it’s up to Google how it’s designed, it’s only made by Samsung. HTC made the first Nexus and Motorolla will most likely make the next one.
The tab N is virturally identical to the first one. The only change being alittle extra bezel on the sides that allow for forward facing speakers. Apple is trying to have this version baned as well, so much for being original.

After being patient all this while waiting for the 32GB GSM model..i succumbed to temptation yesterday to the sweet deal from Daily steals. Now just a day after there is word of a 32GB GSM model coming in a few weeks. Contemplating canceling my order now. I know the 32GB model will cost a little more but the extra storage is added security from memory issues down the road. How easy is it to get ur money back for a product that hasn’t shipped yet from Daily steals?? Any input will be appreciated.

Come on Maria, get your head out of the sand. I’m a HUGE android and Samsung fan and I can even see that until Apple forced them to Samsung was aping apple design appearance a bit closely. they are doing a MUCH better job of coming out with original designs (case in point the Galaxy Nexus and the Tab N), but they still play follow the [market] leader in some ways. This is quite obviously one way in which they do. I would say there is good reason too, surely there is a large pool of buyers for whom this would e appealing. My point is that Samsung should be doing more to differentiate from the market leader. they obviously have the engineering chops to outdo most manufacturers (including apple). their design capabilities have been a bit less well developed but heading in the right direction. IMHO offering color options might prove popular without having to copy the marketing practices of apple (or as you mentioned Nokia).

PS, the name calling is not appreciated.

I don’t think Apple has anything to do with some people liking white phones. I find my lady friends like them more than the guys but what are you sudgesting? because someone eles already makes a white phone then Samsung fans shouldn’t be able to choose one? I like the idea of other color choices and different battery hatches but that kind of stuff is available already with the after market companys and case makers. As far as making the phone it’s self in different colors, Nokia already does that. Why would it be ok to ‘ape’ Nokia but not Apple? Sorry but your comment is just dumb.

Cute, but to me the appeal of the black model is that the giant screen seems to blend into the phone and extend forever. In other words, the black model (which is really more of a charcoal color) is really slick, where as this white mock-up seems more toy like. A better question is why Samsung feelsthe need to ape Apple with white versions of their phones. How about something original like other color options or fun inexpensive battery hatch replacements?
