Well isn’t this interesting? It seems a Walmart down in Florida has sold a Dual Shock 3 controller before they were supposed to, seemingly confirming Sony’s plans to announce this PlayStation 3 remote in white for U.S. release at this year’s E3.

The controller, previously only available in Japan, was available for purchase at this Walmart, but it doesn’t seem to be a fluke. In fact, the packaging was in English and French, pointing to a North American–or at least a Canadian–release.
This controller was purchased in white and though Sony is officially saying they don’t have plans to release this controller in any color other than black, this physical evidence would seem to prove otherwise. But, I guess we’ll know for sure in three weeks at E3!

That’d be hilarious if it was just the controllers skeleton, and inside it was filled with rocks.

The receipt makes it look like an employee purchase. The blacked out sections and the discount would be consistent with that.
