Even with the New York Times reporting that 82% of us aren’t texting, we all know that the entire 18% that are engaged in a BlackBerry war are driving behind us. If you don’t feel that your brake lights are enough to save you from the Escalade tailing you for 5 miles of 3 lane highway, add this nifty gadget to your arsenal: the SuddenStop LED light warning system.

The bright red lights of this system are actually triggered not by your brakes, but by the G-forces that it is able to sense when your car slows dramatically. Because it is independent of the brakes, it needs no re-wiring, the batteries last for 2 to 3 years, and you can be set to launch for about 30 dollars.
That extra jolt that you give the jerk behind you is priceless. So is not having to visit that hippie chiropractor.

“…able to sense when your car slows dramatically.”
So…like when you brake? Seriously, if they didn’t notice your brake lights, why would they notice another set of lights? True, it IS another set of lights, but if they aren’t paying attention…THEY AREN’T PAYING ATTENTION! Maybe a couple of caltraps would get their eyes on the road, but anything short of that….well, good luck.
