BestBuyBlack Friday is just around the corner and I know I’m not going to be a door buster early in the morning, but for those who are looking for Westinghouse LCD TVs, there is a rumor that BestBuy is stocking up a lot of Westinghouse LCD TVs for black Friday.

…they were stocking up for the BF sale already. Counted about 52 of the Westinghouse 32″ LCD HDTVs ($479.99, W3213) and 30 of the 42″ HDTVs ($999.99, W4207). Also recognized the Advent 15″ LCD TV ($129.99), estimated about 30 of them, along with a bunch of other stuff. Funny thing is, they were all labeled “Product not for sale. Hold for customer [Redacted].”

The number of available unit is unusually high for the usual black Friday, but who knows. I would still recommend lining up just in case.

Below is a copy of the message I sent to Westinghouse recently. It highlights why I would not consider purchasing any of the LCD TV’s by Westinghouse. Westinghouse have been extremely difficult to deal with, something you wouldn’t expect after making a $1000 purchase.

I would seriously have to disagree with your website as it reads “Our promise to you includes reliable, easy-to-use products, responsive and caring customer service.” I am writing to express my extreme dissapointment with the level of service experienced by Westinghouse. My fiance bought an LCD TV from one of your distributors here in Portland, Oregon in the month of June or July. The device stopped working in late September, early October and we are still waiting for our TV. Actually, at this point we’re waiting for a shipping label to arrive from Westinghouse so the device can be mailed to you. However, your call center supervisor, Ben, has continuously not followed through on his promise to deliver said shipping label. And believe me, there was much hard work and follow up by my fiance to even get a commitment from Westinghouse to provide the shipping label.
Becuase its been our experience, we’ve been telling everyone we know that Westinghouse is a terrible company to do business with, as is their distributor Video Only. How long this must go on? To what extent to do we have to go in order for Westinghouse to honor their offer of a meager One Year Warranty? If this drags on until Summer 2007 will you consider the warranty void?
Please respond with helpful advice on how we can resolve this increasingly dissatisfying situation.
    thank, kevin kaufman

I can’t agree more. They did the same thing to me, hanging on the shipping label for the entire year without delivering it, despite my diligent contact with their customer services numerous times.

    Hope someone can advise.

    Thanks.
