I don’t expect anyone outside of the webOS universe to know this but palm has been working hard on both PDK (C++) applications and a new breed of application called Hybrids which are both HTML/CSS/JavaScript and C++ type programs combined. This flexibility is what really makes webOS shine I think. I’m very excited to see what’s coming up. I’m not at all interested in the Palm Pre 2.. I’ve still got a Palm Pre Minus (Spring Palm Pre).

Those mockups are pretty nice. WebOS could be something nice, my only qualm with it is the fact that each appplication is in essence a new browser window. :S.
Is a web browser really the best place/environment for running graphics intensive applications??

Meh, sure they have native code development etc.

Hopefully this’ll bring much needed motivation and competition to what the US media considers a two-horse race.

Wohaa… that landscape QWERTY slider looks interesting. Side by side windows on a mobile OS? Sounds awesome to me… o.O
