WeatherBug app lands on Apple Watch

The WeatherBug app has been around for a long time for PC users and for iOS devices. This app is one of the most common weather apps out there, and it can tell you the weather in your location and any other state in the US. Giving you the temperature isn't the only thing that the app is capable of; it is also designed to give severe weather alerts, lightening detection, and neighborhood level weather forecasts.

WeatherBug has announced that it has updated its iOS app and with that update the app lands on the Apple Watch for the first time. The app offers Weather at-a-glance to give you weather conditions for the next 12 hours including forecasts for your local neighborhood.

Apple Watch users will get weather alerts and Spark lightning proximity updates on the watch screen. The lightning information tells you how far away the lightning is. Users of the app will also get access to wind, pollen, and UV conditions on the watch.

If you want more details on weather conditions and prefer to view continue on your larger screen iPhone rather than the watch, the updated app supported the Apple Handoff feature. That lets you swipe up on the WeatherBug icon on the iPhone unlock screen to access more information for your location on the iPhone. The app is on the App Store for download right now and is a free download.
