Watch Dogs release date range set inside Q2 2014

This morning set deep inside Ubisoft's own Fiscal Q3 earnings report for 2013 came word of several releases for the 2014 season. While – as usual – "fiscal" quarters are set differently than non-fiscal quarters, you'll find that Ubisoft means to release Watch Dogs in their Q1, 2014's Q2, that is to say inside the months of April, May, and June. That's about as specific as they're going to get until far closer to the actual release of the game – they've likely learned their lesson on this title with announcing release dates before they can confirm they'll actually deliver.

Also on the docket for this range of months is the newest Just Dance title as well as The Crew. We've had a tiny look at The Crew in the recent past, with the E3 2013 trailer showing off what Ubisoft means to release in this particular title. It's all about creating your own vehicle and rolling especially hard, as it were. Have a peek here and see what you make of it.

Just before the release of The Crew, the newest Just Dance, and Watch Dogs, Ubisoft will be releasing South Park: The Stick of Truth for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. This game has been in development for an age, at this point, and has been (most recently) spoken of in the third installment of the television show's own Next-Gen Console Wars saga. The irony here is that the game won't be released for the next generation of game consoles in the Xbox One or PlayStation 4 for the foreseeable future.

Ubisoft will also be releasing Rayman Legends for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One inside January, February, and March (this one quarter of the year), while open betas for both The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot and Might & Magic Heroes Online will be released for PC.

While we previously saw this game (most recently) pegged for March, Ubisoft's suggestion that it'll be released inside the second quarter of the year is one we're going to trust at this point. Ubisoft has also confirmed that the first-wave release will include the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC, while the Wii U version will be delayed further.
