When you’re staring at a magazine rack, you can always tell where the adult section is. All of the magazines in that section are covered almost completely with a black cover. Well according to rumor, you can look forward to something similar when you browse the game isle at your local Walmart.

This is exactly why I avoid Walmart like the plague. When was the last time you saw the cover of a video game that was any worse than the cover of a pop album? Well the retail giant thinks that “M” rated games will scar the countries youth just by being seen, so they believe it’s necissary to cover them up like a porn magazine.

“It is the responsibility of Wal-Mart to protect our children from potentially damaging content, such as the covers of some video games,” said a company spokesperson.

Walmart already refuses to carry any uncensored CD’s, now they’re pushing to cover up “M” titles. Chalk this up as one more reason I don’t shop there.
