My tablet just died – it was a Christmas gift. The hoops that Vizio makes you jump through to get warranty service is ridiculous, up to and including paying for your replacement tablet until they have your dead one back. Be prepared to offer up the receipt, pictures from three angles, the box, the serial number and countless phone calls and email.
I found that the tablet is not compatible with many of the apps I downloaded, And often went back to the home screen for no apparent reason. I am seriously not impressed with Vizio.

Hi, Just got one today and as the review says it is slower compared to Galaxy or iPad, but not terribly so.. that you cannot use for ..well what you you use a tablet for. Mails, Facebook, Twitter, Browising, Music, Youtibe, Videos, that’s all I need and this does it well. For the current price $189 at Costco, I see a value in this that I do not see in other tablets. The one I bought came with Honeycomb, got a 16GB Sandisk Extreme MicroSD for about 20 bucks. Controls all my gear at home ( I like the room based grouping of appliances, cool !) So in effect, making my Logitech Harmony redundant when I am using this. If you have a growing up kid, this is good value and save some money yourself.

Just got the Vizio tablet and so far I’m loving it. The TV remote works great and Netflix came in without a problem, which will be great when I use it on the treadmill. Even better, only paid $189 at Costco.

I also am having trouble with my tablet. I received it as a gift for Christmas, I really loved everything about it, and so did my granddaughter, so she got one too. But only a month after I got it the port on mine also has messed up. I notice at first when pluging it in it was hard to get the usb cable to connect. And my granddaughters is doing the same thing. Is there anyway it can be fixed? Or is there another way to charge it. I was told to change the cable, My cellphone cable worked for a little while, but now its not. If yours is still working, be very careful with your usb port. Please if anyone has an answer for me please let me know.

I love my tablet, nothing clunky about it. It iperates all tv’s in the house, which are all other brands! The problem with these articles is they all want to compare everything to apple or other so called top of the line tablets. Expensive doesnt mean better!

I was programming in Basic by 3rd grade because my folks had me using computers at an early age. Lets see how you’re kids turn out .. will probably be like 2001 Space Odyssey when the monkeys discover the monolith and use bone tools.

And……. I have a tablet now, its not the Vizio (however I am getting the Vizio). Anyway, it has the mini USB which will recognize a mouse, a keyboard, and yes even a thumb drive. Just in case the 32 gb card is not enough.

there is an app that you can get from Android market (and should be able to get from the version that this has) it is called “mobo player” and is a great video player which will play many different video formats. Hope things go well for you with the surgeries.

I feel very sorry for any parent who buys a technology device for a 6 year old. They should still b e playing with standard, classic toys. Dolls, trains, cars, board games, building block…items that let them use their imagination instead of entertaining which is how most technology is used by aduilts. You will have kids with short attention spans.

Discovered this at Costco and bought it as a gift for mother-in-law’s birthday, and was impressed while setting it up for her. It was terribly slow at first, but called tech support, got a live person pretty quickly and instructed me to download the update, which made a huge difference and now runs fast. Nothing mentioned on web about the GPS feature, but this can be used as a GPS, too, in the car without an internet connection, which I thought was very cool. Costco displayed this at $234, and took up to purchase for that, but it rang up at $189 (I guess to compete with the newly announced Kindle Fire for $199), so was very happy. Costco also had an accessory package available for $39, which included a very nice binder cover. I had already pre-ordered a Kindle Fire for myself, and hope it is as good as the Vizio.

I just saw this today at Walmart. Looking for a 2nd laptop and wondered what this was able to do. Price is well under $200 here. Great price,unfortunantly they just received it last week and someone already locked the display so I couldn’t get into it. Clerk didnt know how to unlock and had no instruction booklet. I just need to surf the net and maybe some movies, sounds like this is good for that.
