I understand why people buy Vizio because it is a cheap tv. However saying people are not buying because of name is very short sighted view. I refuse to buy a Vizio because it lacks a lot of important features or it is woefully behind. I just bought a 40 inch Samsung series 9 Led tv for the bedroom. The picture on that tv puts anything the Vizio can do to shame. It's contrast ratio is 5 million to one and it has full 3d support. It was not that much more than a Vizio. Plus everything I have seen from Vizio customer service is atrocious. My old roommate had a 42 inch lcd display that had the picture cut out during extended viewing. He was within the last three weeks of his warranty. It took so long for them to respond to his claim that he fell out of his manufactures warranty. They told him that he would have to pay for the service out right. He finally did the right thing and bought a Samsung tv with a Sears in house warranty like I did. The end of the story is you get what you pay for. My last three tv purchases have been Samsung and I have been nothing but satisfied with them.
