No honeycomb, the remote works great and I use mine for a GPS unit with a $20 download to get maps sense I don’t have wifi in my car to use google maps. So $188 at Costco, $20 for GPS software with maps of US, $15 for window mount holder and $5 for a cigarette lighter adapter with two USB plugs and I now have a tablet for basics, a GPS unit for my car, universal remote and an extra USB in my car I use to charge my phone.

With the universal remote I also get to pull up my fantasy team and not have it on my TV screen to distract me or take away from the game. I can take it outside and let my son watch a movie on Netflix while we have a cookout, I can play MP3s with it, either through built in speakers, ear buds or hook it into something using the stereo mini plug. I can go over someone else’s house and play my Netflix account on their TV with the mini HDMI connection, check my email, video chat, and surf the web. For $250 counting taxes we are talking a great deal with lots of uses. It isn’t perfect and many tablets blow it out of the water, but dollar for dollar it does a lot of bang for the buck.

Nice tablet. It did not come with Honeycomb, causing us to root, rom, and bash it right out of the box. It did not come with an SD card. The thing I like the most about this tablet is that it’s not an Ipad and cost half as much. So, apple and put that in their pipe and smoke it.

Well, at least your screen name is correct. You really don’t know what you’re talking about, do you!? Honeycomb IS Android OS. And just curious…how do you know it’s a lousy screen? Have you held one and actually looked at it? Perhaps you have, which would be the only explanation of how you know it’s “cheap and plasticky”. Oh, and the universal remote capability of this will work with almost ANY TV…not just Vizio brands. When you download those apps for your iPad, does it include the required IR dongle??

Lousy screen, cheap and plasticky, uses Android OS instead of Honeycomb. Not that Honeycomb is anything great but at least its a tablet OS. It can be used as a remote! Exciting! Or not. Thats to lock you into to Vizio TV’s and you can download remote apps for the iPad.

$50 for a case that sounds nifty and a 16 gb card doesn’t seem like a bad upgrade.
…$400 is still a great price point for something to COMPETE with an iPad…

You can’t COMPETE with the best-known, highest-regarded, highest-purchased, highest-supported tablet when you are charging the same price.

Bravo, Vizio for being the first tablet manufacturer with common sense.
