The economy is not that great but there are still many consumers who are buying electronics like computers and TVs. The catch is that the cheaper brands are tending to sell more robustly than the more expensive brands that were popular in years past. This is one of the reasons that the Vizio brand of LCD TVs is doing so well in the market despite the poor economy.
The latest numbers are in for PC shipments and for Q3 2009 Vizio again grabbed the top spot in the PC shipments list. Vizio also had the top spot back in August when the numbers for Q2 2009 were announced. For the year to date Vizio has shipped 4,075,000 LCD TVs.
The second place company is Samsung with 3,894,000 units shipped. Third place goes to Sony with 2,362,000 units shipped. Bringing up forth is LG and fifth goes to Toshiba with 1,739,000 and 1,686,000 units shipped respectively. Vizio also had two LCD TVs on the list of the top five best selling TVs in America with second and fifth places.
