Hopefully learning from the lukewarm reception the original Touch Pack for the UMPC form-factor garnered, Microsoft’s programming arm of the team-that-once-was-known-as-Origami have just muddied the naming waters once more by showing off the “Origami Experience Pack” designed to be used on those handheld Tablet PCs running Vista.

With persistent play controls at the bottom of the screen, a digital photo frame option with different transition effects and straightforward on-the-fly playlist creation, Microsoft are obviously hoping to position the next gen UMPC range as a “PMP on steroids”. There are more screenshots at the Origami Project blog.
