Viewsonic's budget-friendly ViewPad 7e Android tablet has surfaced on Amazon for $199.99. We got to spend some hands-on time with the tablet when it first debuted last week at IFA 2011 and seems like a good entry-level device for bargain shoppers. However, it's only available for pre-orders at the moment without an estimated shipping date.

The ViewPad 7e sports a 7-inch display with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution and runs on a 1GHz single-core processor with 512MB of RAM. It has a white bezel and backing, giving it the look of an e-reader, but it also packs plenty of ports and a very cool-looking 3D interface. It has a mini-USB, micro-USB, power jack, headphone jack, and a microSD card slot for memory expansion of up to 32GB. It also has a VGA front-facing camera along with a 3-megapixel rear-facing camera.

But what will really stand out is the nifty custom user interface running on top of Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Developed by the same company that created the SPB Shell 3D, the Viewsonic interface is called Viewscene 3D. For more details and a video demo of this interface, make sure to check out our ViewPad 7e hands-on before you head over to the Amazon pre-order page.
