Viewsonic has announced that it is now shipping its latest 24-inch 4K resolution monitor called the VX2475Smhl. The multimedia monitor is aimed at all sorts of uses from high resolution gaming to watching HD films. Native resolution for the panel is 3820 x 2160 and Viewsonic uses a SuperClear PLS panel that provides wide viewing angles with a response time of 4ms for clear playback in fast games and movie scenes.

The display has a contrast ratio of 1000:1 typical with dynamic contrast of 1.2 million:1. Viewing angles are 178-degrees horizontal and vertical. Brightness is rated at 300 cd/m2 and the screen has an anti-glare hard coating to make the display more resistant to damage.

True 8-bit color support reproduces 16.7 million colors and the monitor uses a white LED backlight system good for 30,000 hours of use. Connectivity options include DisplayPort 1.2a, HDMI/MHL 2.0, and HDMI 2.0. A pair of 3W speakers handle internal sound with a 3.5mm connector.

Viewsonic lists the MSRP of the display at $611 in their press release, but the Viewsonic websites lists the monitor as available now with a price of $469.99. Viewsonic also has a larger 27-inch 4K monitor that offers 14-bit color and more starting at $1091.
