What’s the difference between this one and Novatech’s nTablet? Is it all the same or has it a better touchscreen (the nTablet has problems in the upper part).

Secondly, does anybody know where to get an Mini-VGA adapter? Couldn’t find any besides the one from Apple which doesn’t fit.

The “fastest Android tablet” comment from ViewSonic was a bit of a sneaky one: yes, the Atom CPU has a faster clock speed, but that doesn’t necessarily translate into real-world performance, or indeed the sort of performance tablet users are going to be looking for. Something like Tegra 2 in the Advent Vega is likely to best the ViewPad 10 when it comes to HD video, for instance.

Agreed. ViewSonic seemed reluctant to admit that either the ViewPad 7 or 10 were OEM designs from another company, preferring to let people assume they’d designed them in-house. Unfortunately the lack of any firm response on the possibility of an Android update at any point made that stance look a little ridiculous.

Hot swapping between the the two OSs would be very elegant indeed.

Yeah, the 1.6 Android makes this a dodo.

So much potential. So much disappointment because it sport Android 1.6 and not 2.2.
