ViewSonic PJD2121 Pico-Projector and WPG-350 WiFi-n video streamer launch

ViewSonic have outed a couple of new projector systems, the PJD2121 pico-projector and the WPG-350 presentation gateway.  The former is a 720p/1080i capable mini-projector which can throw a 60-inch image, while the latter hooks up to any projector or display with a VGA port and funnels presentations (up to 1024 x 768) or 1080p video via WiFi b/g/n from a nearby laptop or PC.

The PJD2121 measures 8.1 x 4.7 x 2.6 inches and tips the scales at 2.16lbs; it's capable of 800 x 600 SVGA resolution, with 1,800:1 contrast ratio and 400 ANSI lumens brightness.  While there's no battery option, you do get an "Off to Go" function which instantly shuts the projector down, ready to transport, with no damage risk to the lamp.

As for the WPG-350, that resembles a standard WiFi gateway, but has VGA and audio outputs (and an IR input) for hooking up to a display screen or projector.  Software is required on the controlling PC in order to connect, but once installed it's apparently an easy matter for up to four wireless presenters to connect at once.  An IR remote is also controlled.

The ViewSonic PJD2121 is available now, priced at $449; meanwhile the WPG-350 is available at $199.
