Just looked at zune marketplace apps, although all three apps are in the market place, all are genaric. None are branded with Verizon.

I heard that Verizon would also be announcing the iPhone is Jan, that it was ready now, but that AT&T had managed to negotiate a delay until then to let it get it’s last monopoly sales during the Christmas shopping season. Maybe something similar is happening with WP7. Up here in Canada, Rogers (the GSM provider), Bell, and Telus all offer various models of WP7 phones.
Rogers offers the Samsung Focus, which is actually a pretty good phone.

That’s good news. I believe Windows 7 Phone can give Apple’s iPhone a run for its money.
