Couple of easy work arounds I’d like to share:

1. For sound issues you need to toggle the side switch of the iPad.
For this, under General –> Side switch set to: Mute (instead of Lock Rotation)

2. For dual sound playing, just relaunch the application on the iPad.

The app update comes in time for the 4th generation iPad’s release.
