No, it is rather likely that VZW has a copyright registration on the logo/design. If so, they could sue the tattooist for willful copyright infringement of a registered CR, in federal court, and obtain statutory damages of up to $150,000 (per copy of the copyrighted logo) and attorney’s fees.
