If there’s one thing we like, it’s leaky phone companies and their prematurely-exposed wares. The Boy Genius Report seem to have had their fair share of Motorola Sholes images lately, and there’s another three new images – including the crisp shot you see here – to tempt us. According to the phone’s “About” screen, the handset will have official name Motorola Droid.
What the photo doesn’t show is the slide-out QWERTY keyboard we know the Droid has, but that gets an outing in the admittedly far less detailed shot you can see in the gallery. There doesn’t appear to be any of the hallmarks of MOTOBLUR that we’ve seen on the Motorola CLIQ, however, suggesting that the Droid is a plain, pure-Android device.
According to BGR’s tipsters, Verizon and Motorola are really gunning the development machine, with new OS builds “almost daily”. It’s previously ben suggested that the Verizon Droid will drop on October 30th.

I never did find this phone very attractive from the beginning and these real life shots affirm this. I prefer the Cliq over this but I’m waiting on that other one with the slide out keyboard in the renders from awhile back. Can’t remember what their code names were.
+1ugh…it’s a motorola…i’ve had 2 motorolas and i HATED THEM BOTH. i’d NEVER buy this phone. they should’ve made some sort of deal with LG instead…

Totally BS positioning by Verizon for this phone – its based on totally misleading statements. The iPhone DOES have a REAL keyboard-if you type on it then its real.
It DOES run simultaneous apps, just not all of them to conserve your battery! You can play music while you surf the internet, you can check the address book or email while on a call, etc.- that’s simultaneous.
The iPHone takes GREAT pics with a great user pinpoint focus feature, has outstanding video recording capability, along with video editing, so what if its not 5 megapixel because its still excellent quality.
I have a choice of 80,000+ apps and can place them on any screen I like, including the home screen, now thats what I call customizing!
They are kidding about widgets right? When I have 80,000+ apps, why do I need widgets? Developers have created over 80,000 apps using the SDK – that makes development VERY OPEN.
I just shot video and pics at a concert, in the “dark”, and they came out great.
Ok, you got me on the battery but is never once been a problem… BTW – Verizon is the most repressive of all the carriers as to what capabilities they will allow on a phone. On my last smart phone, they required a data plan to download photos to my computer because they disabled the bluetooth function. Drop dead Verizon!

Verizon customer service sucks. Also, if you live near an airport or airbase you probably don’t get very good reception with verizon. I LOVE everything about AT&T and the iPhone! NOTHING will ever come close to the amazing technology of the iPhone and the great service provided by AT&T. A match made in heaven. Everyone else are merely imposters and posers!

heh why would my panties be in a bunch over a TV commercial promoting a product for excelling at the IPhone’s weaknesses? I have a bloody samsung juke!! (which im convinced was a typo and should have been named samsung joke)I find the posts/stories by iphone lovers, fact checking the commercial and getting offended by Verizon’s advertising tactics all within days of the commercial release…incredibly funny and ironic. Freerange’s rant was like a seeing a baby with a very stealable lollipop in his hands.
sides isnt bashing on someone elses product to sell your own taken straight from the Apple playbook? how can you claim i took it as a personal attack- no sir, the only one feeling “attacked” is you.

+12Motorola Comes in here, They have made the droid and Made it exclusivly to VZW. Moto has been seeing lose in sales for a long time and they have to step there Game up to Get back in there. They have been a little busy with VZW’s Droid and T-mobile USA’s CliQ. This are some images of their upcoming droid that is set to be The big Red’s Iphone Killer, even tho from what i see the build Quality could be a little better and they could have done something with its plastic look.
This phone should be out in time for Holiday shopping and Hopefully it is the phone you and VZW have been waiting for. The spec’s are not out yet but im guessing it will be there usual.
