Verizon LG G Pad 8.3 LTE lands this week

Verizon will offer the LTE version of LG's G Pad 8.3 tablet from March 6th, the carrier has announced, adding another Android slate to the carrier's line-up. The slate, running Android on an 8.3-inch Full HD IPS display with a 1.5GHz quadcore processor, will be offered at $299.99 unsubsidized.

If that's too rich for your blood, Verizon will offer the G Pad 8.3 with a two-year agreement for $199.99. Those who get in early, and buy the LG in the first weekend of availability (March 6th to March 10th) can get it for $99.99 with the same two-year commitment.

Adding the tablet to a MORE Everything plan – which Verizon announced last month – will be $10 per month.

Announced at IFA 2013 last September, the LG G Pad 8.3 impressed us with its metal construction and clear display. It hit shelves in the US in mid-Q4, and was subsequently stripped of LG's software tweaks for a Google Play edition in December.

Verizon's model, however, will have all the custom software, including the ability to link up to a remote Android smartphone with Q Pair and show calls, messages, and other notifications on the slate. There's also QSlide for showing two apps on-screen simultaneously, and Slide Aside three-finger gesture multitasking.
