Another possibility is that, on previous launch days, Verizon has only sold seventeen phones at most. Yesterday they sold eighteen iPhone 4 handsets in two hours.

The fact that they won’t share numbers leads me to call BULLSH–!

It’s web ordering, it’s not as though they don’t know where the cut-off was, or that there were a bunch of different individual stores to tally.

I am sure they sold a lot, but this is pure marketing garbage.
