Moisten your fingers (freshly washed hands) and then using the same hand, cover both of the 'seams' on the left side of the Verizon iPhone. Do this in a weak signal area. This won't be as bad as AT&T but this would be the Verizon Death Grip. (harder to do because you need to cover two gaps, with moist hands, and in a weaker reception area)

This is so non-news.

First of all, the frequency that Verizon uses for CDMA is much lower than 1900/2100 MHz being used by AT&T. It's much less susceptible to the attenuation effect.

Second, the death grip only exhibit itself in places where the signal strength sucks. Try it where the signal is strong and you won't be able to perform death grip on the GSM/HSPA iPhone either.

Wow, so you try it in one location with unknown service, without any quantitative test equipment - just looking at bars - and proudly announce there's no problem. How professional.

Isn't this meaningless without being out in the wild or under weak signal coverage? One doesn't get the grip of death on the GSM (AT&T) iPhone either if there is a strong signal.
