I happen to be a loyal Sprint business customer, and I recently upgraded from the Blackberry to Palm Pre (back in June 2009) and then from the Palm Pre to the Samsung Epic 4G (Android – back in November 2010). If all carriers are able to carry all platforms and similar hardware, customer service, voice and data plans, and so much more will only get that much better! I might be hoping for too much, but we all have to dream, right?

Typically when Apple releases a new device, the device ID appears in the SDK weeks or months ahead of time.

As much as I’d like to believe there could be a CDMA iPhone in the works, it just doesn’t add up.

I have been a long time early adopter of cell phones and I have had numberous blackberrys, windows phones, and android phones. I have been waiting a long time for the iphone to come to Verizon so that I could try it out, I didn’t want to change carriers just for a phone that I’m not sure I’ll like. I’m sure it will be a learning experience to start with but I’m sure its a good OS as well. It will make a great addition to the Verizon Wireless phone lineup.

AT&T issues are based primarily, according to 1 AT&T Engineer with Whom I spoke, “Well, We actually were not expecting Anyone to try to make a call with the iPhone. We were hoping Users would be satisfied with the online experience and just use Skype, for example.” I will admit, I was thrown for a proverbial loop, which is not easy to do, when I heard the Engineer’s claim. From what I understand, however, AT&T has been working to improve the phone portion of Their network. Verizon, on the other hand, appears to already have sufficient coverage to handle the traffic load.

But, this is all speculation. I am not yet convinced tomorrow’s announcement will be about the iPhone, primarily because I don’t listen to Sources unwilling to go on the record. For all I know, the source could be a Fraud or a rogue Employee seeking to make Apple and/or Verizon and/or AT&T look bad.

Verizon users like myself who’ve held off for some years from buying an iPhone did so because of the poor network offered by AT&T. A poor network today is anything that isn’t 4G/LTE.
