Verizon "Iconic Device" due Nov 9: CDMA iPhone 4 or Motorola DROID Pro? [Updated]

A leaked internal Verizon screenshot tipping an incoming "Iconic Device" has got the CDMA iPhone flag-wavers out in force again, though the carrier's wording is still suitably inconclusive.  TUAW were sent the picture, which seemingly promises Verizon employees that as of November 9th they'll be able to offer customers pre-sales for a "high demand" handset.

That fits in with rumors of increased staffing levels, with some saying Verizon has roughly doubled the team assigned to handling number porting.  This particular "Iconic Device" will start pre-orders on the 9th and then start shipping from Verizon direct later on in November.

However, the Motorola DROID Pro is also expected to go up for pre-order from November 9th, with deliveries expected to take place on November 18th, and as the first candybar QWERTY Android phone that could also realistically be described as in "high demand".  Apple likes to announce products on Tuesdays, TUAW points out, but we'll have to wait to find out exactly what this new Verizon device is.

Update: Android Central has been sent a different screen shot, which identifies the Motorola DROID Pro as the "iconic device".
