Have you ever called up your mobile phone provider and tried to change your plan? They’re almost always more than happy to accommodate your needs, so long as you extend your contract. Starting this weekend, you won’t have to worry when calling in to Verizon to change your plan.

Verizon Wireless

As of October 7th, Verizon Wireless will no longer require customers to extend their contract by 1-2 years when they wish to change the terms of their mobile plan.

This is something that should have been happening from the start. Mobile phone providers have just been using this tactic to screw people for far too long. Lets hope other carriers follow suit.
