Jane55 you have really shown you know absolutely nothing about chromeOS. First of all its probably one of the most innovative ideas as OS has undertaken in a long time, it will certainly have a niche market but thats not to say its a bad idea. The browser based OS offers many advantages over a standard OS, although it also has its downfalls, but thats down to preference of the individual. Second of all chromeOS was first announced in July 2009 while the Ipad was only announced at the start of this year. And googles tablet designs were released prior to the announcement of the Ipad, so tell me, whos following who?

Chrome OS tablet? then it will named as Gablet? or ciblet?
I like Google's Chrome browser, but I really hope Google and Adriod would do some innovation and can bring surprise for users, not follow behind like iPad, iPad now is really a big win, it have many market share, and the iOS have been around with the iPhone, ipad, it's yet fantastic and remarkable, and so many app developers are living on iOS like iFunia, a MAC media converter developer, Apple always can provides for a large number of infestor.

Although, a dual core 1.5 Ghz Snapdragon would sound good for that Chrome OS tablet as well, I'd still prefer a Tegra 2 Chrome OS tablet, because hardware acceleration is going to be increasingly more important for certain tasks than the CPU, like gaming or processing graphics on a web page, or even playing Flash videos and Flash games.

The Tegra 2 comes with hardware acceleration for Flash, and also Google has just presented their Google webstore which is likely to be full of games made in Flash, HTML 5 or C++. So hardware acceleration is going to be very important, and hopefully Google will improve it greatly for Chrome itself, as well, because they are lagging behind IE9 in that aspect.

I've written a bit more on this here:
